Terms of Service

Effective October 5, 2026

These terms cover your use of joyforcare.com and the Joy practice workspace. By using Joy, you agree to these terms. Questions can be sent to doruk@joyforcare.com.

Using Joy

Joy provides administrative tools for mental health practitioners and practice staff, including records, appointment coordination, transcription, and AI-assisted drafts. The workspace is under active development. Features and availability may change, and some services require separate setup or authorisation.

You must be an adult and have authority to use Joy on behalf of your practice. Keep your account secure, provide accurate account information, and grant workspace access only to authorised people. Do not use Joy unlawfully, interfere with the service, or attempt to access another practice's information.

Practitioner responsibility

You remain responsible for care, professional decisions, final records, and communications with clients. Review and correct transcripts and AI-generated drafts before using or sharing them. Outputs can contain errors or omissions. Joy does not provide diagnosis, treatment, emergency monitoring, or crisis response.

Only record participants or submit client information when you have the required authority and permissions. Your practice is responsible for determining which privacy, recording, recordkeeping, and other professional requirements apply to its use of Joy. A Google connection or these terms do not establish that a practice has all required healthcare agreements. Any separately agreed business associate or data processing agreement remains applicable.

Your information

You retain your rights in information you submit. You permit Joy and its service providers to process that information to provide the features you request, as described in our privacy policy. Shared practice records are accessible according to the practice's permissions. Keep copies of records needed for your professional obligations.

Contact us for account or permanent deletion requests. Disconnecting a provider or stopping use of Joy does not automatically erase records already stored. Retention and deletion are described in the privacy policy.

Optional connections

Google sign-in and Google Calendar are separate choices. Google sign-in uses basic account information. Calendar can import primary-calendar availability or, with separate event-editing permission, import event details and save reviewed appointments to Google. You choose when to sync and when to publish a change or cancellation. Calendar guest notifications require confirmation when saving an event with guests. Joy-only appointment notes and client identifiers are not sent in calendar writes. Gmail access remains disabled. You can disconnect a calendar in Joy or revoke access in your Google account.

Fees and availability

Any paid plan or pilot must specify its price and payment terms before you agree to it. These terms alone do not authorise a charge or subscription. Third-party services may have their own fees and conditions.

Joy may be interrupted or unavailable, and we cannot guarantee that every feature or generated result will meet your needs. We may restrict access where needed to address misuse, security issues, or legal requirements. Contact us if you need help accessing or exporting your records.

Changes and contact

We will update the effective date when these terms change and provide notice of material changes through the service or another appropriate channel. Any separately signed agreement with your practice governs where it conflicts with these terms. For questions or to stop using your account, contact doruk@joyforcare.com.
